Broadband Internet Access – A legal right in Finland

Finland is the first country in the world to make Broadband Internet access a legal right to their citizens. Recenly, The Finnish Government forced telecom operaters to provide a reasonably priced Broadband connection of at least 1Megabit.

“From now on a reasonably priced broadband connection will be everyone’s basic right in Finland,” said Finnish communications minister Suvi Linden.

I am really amazed to see this news. In opinion the Finnish government has made a smart decision making Broadband Internet necessary for all the Finland’s Citizens. Kudos!
